Savoya is proud to announce that it has joined forces to support the Corporate Angel Network (CAN) in its mission to transport cancer patients to recognized cancer treatment centers at no cost. By providing free ground transportation on either end of a CAN flight, Savoya extends the Corporate Angel Network’s support to a complete door-to-door service in several cities throughout the United States.
Corporate Angel Network partners with 500 of America’s leading corporations to utilize extra seats on private flights to transport cancer patients, bone marrow donors and recipients, and stem cell donors and recipients to specialized treatments and clinical trials. With the generosity of its sponsors, CAN has enabled over 52,000 flights for cancer patients since its founding in 1981. While alleviating the financial burden of long distance travel for patients, CAN’s private flights also help reduce the risk of exposure posed to immune-deficient patients by commercial flights and provide for a more comfortable, less stressful experience.
“It is an honor to partner with Corporate Angel Network and many of our corporate flight department clients to give back to our communities and neighbors in these difficult situations,” noted Robert Dobrient, Founder and CEO of Savoya. “Providing safe transport for patients and their caretakers in cities across America allows us to pay it forward in a small way, and we look forward to bringing the full benefits of our extensive team of certified drivers, our real-time travel management tools, and our 24/7 client care command center to the table in support of this effort.”
